Jordan Peterson, 11, has passed away following injuries sustained when the car he was working on with his brother fell on top of him during repairs. This accident happened on June 19, 2010 in Payson, Utah. Payson police say Jordan was under the vehicle helping his 16-year-old brother when it fell off a jack and pinned him to the ground. His brother, who was not under the car when it fell, along with some others were able to jack the car back up to free Jordan but he suffered serious injuries to his chest and head. He was taken to Mountain View Hospital and then flown to Primary Children’s Medical Center where he passed away, reports KSL news.
I offer my sincerest condolences to the family of young Jordan Peterson.
Legally speaking, these facts might allow a claim on the auto insurance policy of the father. This is so since the injury involved the vehicle that may or may not have had an auto policy on it. I would advise the family to speak with an experienced Utah personal injury attorney on what options might be available in this sad situation
