    Premises Liability

Premises Liability law holds the person or people in possession of land responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur to others while on the premises. The legal statuses of those who visit the land include: Invitee, Licensee, or Trespasser.

    • Invitee- someone who is generally invited onto the property, such as a customer in a store.
    • Licensee- someone who is specifically invited onto the property by the owner, such as a social guest.
    • Trespasser- someone who enters the property without any right or consent by the owner.

The law will take into account who was legally allowed to be on the land (invitee or licensee) and those who were not invited (trespasser).

Property owners have a uniform standard of care and moral obligation to keep their land clean and safe for visitors of any kind. Unfortunately, accidents can still occur. If you have been involved in an accident or have suffered personal injuries on someone else’s property, then we can represent you as your personal injury attorney.
