Two people are in serious condition after their SUV slammed into a cement wall on Interstate 15 in Midvale, Utah on Wednesday, June 16, 2010. According to a report by KSL news, a man and a woman were in a Ford Bronco headed north on Interstate 15 when their SUV drifted into another lane and clipped a pickup truck. The collision sent the Bronco into a spin, it then hit the wall and rolled several times. The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. near 7200 South. Troopers are still investigating this accident but suspect the wet road factored into the crash. Fortunately, the man and woman are expected to survive this wreck.

I wish both parties involved a very speedy recovery.
Water-Related Accident Statistics
On average, there are over 6,400,000 car crashes each year. One quarter of those crashes are considered weather-related. Nearly 7,400 people are killed and 673,000 people are injured in weather-related crashes. Seventy-five percent of all weather-related crashes are caused by wet pavement from rain, snow and ice. During times of inclement weather, slowing our speed and increasing the our distance behind the vehicle in front of us help to combat the dangerous driving conditions.
