Utah Pedestrian Accident Safety Tips
It appears that this man could do little to avoid this fatal Utah pedestrian accident. Nevertheless, as the weather warms, we should all be aware of the many Utah pedestrians that will be out and about. HeadsUpUtah.com offers these suggestions for motorists:
- Slow down and use caution in residential areas, around schools, playgrounds and parks
- Motorists must yield the right-of-way to pedestrians crossing at intersections. Remember a crosswalk exists at every intersection regardless of whether or not it is painted.
- When turning right on a red light, come to a complete stop and look to the right for pedestrians crossing the street.
- Remember, pedestrians are the road users most at risk. Do all you can to avoid hitting a pedestrian.
