Wynonna Judd, her daughter, and her tour manager were involved in a head-on collision accident in Salt Lake City, one day after her Utah concert, reports the Sierra Sun. According to the story, the three were on their way to a sushi restaurant on July 21, 2010, when the accident happened. The story, however, provides zero details on how exactly it happened. Wynonna Judd was taken to a local Salt Lake City hospital, though, for treatment related to head trauma. At the hospital, staff took a cat scan of her brain and advised her not to travel. Having an engagement in Oregon at the Jackson County Fair in Central Point, however, she told the doctors that she had to get back on the road to get to her gig.
I send my best wishes to Wynonna and wish her a speedy and complete recovery from her head injury, although such recoveries usually come very slow and then, not always completely.
As a Salt Lake City personal injury attorney, I wish I had the facts so that I can speak to who was to blame for this crash. Assuming it was the other person’s fault, then Wynonna and her passengers have a claim against the at-fault person for causing this crash. Usually these head-on collisions happen because one person comes over the center line for some reason, usually, I think, because of distraction.
