Park City Accident Claims Two Lives

Rick Ryan Hill, 35 years old of Orem, Utah and Jose Pineda, 23 of Kamas, Utah, were killed in a head on crash happening near Park City, UT, on Saturday, February 12, 2011. According to KSL News, this crash happened when Rick Ryan Hill, driving a pickup truck east on State Route 248, veered into the westbound lanes and hit an oncoming compact car. Mr. Hill and the driver of the other car, Jose Pineda, were both killed in the crash. Yet another third motorist, Johnny Morales, 26 years old, was sideswiped by Hill’s pickup truck. Morales was taken to the University of Utah Medical Center with serious injuries. Officers say that alcohol was a factor in this crash.

I send my deepest condolences to the friends and families of those who lost their lives in this tragic crash. I send my best wishes for a full and complete recovery to the other innocent motorist who was hurt in this crash.

In Utah, a personal injury or wrongful death claim arises when someone, due to their negligence, causes an injury to another person. These claims are usually resolved through the party’s insurance companies. I would recommend those who lost loved ones and those injured to contact a Utah accident lawyer to find out the remedies that might be available following this crash.
