A semitrailer hit a school bus on Wednesday April 7, 2010 in Box Elder County, Utah injuring three school-aged children. The Salt Lake Tribune reports that the bus driver was stopped at a stop sign at 2800 West and State Road 13 in Corinne, Utah. The semi truck did not stop in time and bumped the school bus causing some minor damage. There were 21 children on the bus, all the children between 8 and 11 years old. Three of the children complained up minor pain. The children were examined at the scene of the accident and then released to their parents.
The driver of the semi was cited for following too closely reports Box Elder County Chief Deputy Sheriff Kevin Potter.
Fortunately, the accident reported is minor and the injuries were not substantial. I wish all the children well as they recover from their injuries.
